"Da Nile" ain't just a river in Egypt...

This photo was taken at EPCOT and is an Egyptian goose. They're very beautiful, but it's startling to see them since they aren't native to Florida. As most of you probably know, exotic, invasive species are an ever present problem in Florida. In this case, they don't seem to cause much harm as they don't breed well here and most individuals are results of escapes from bird facilities. Too bad that's not the case with the various vines, large constrictors, lizards, frogs and more found here that push native animals out of their habitats. Brenda's right about that! They're going nuts! All the birds are getting in to the act. I saw a Moorhen running back and forth like a maniac, showing off and trying to get a mates attention.

BTW, there are new pics and posts on our "Travel blog" that you may like. I'll email you later today.
